So, there's a recession going on or should I say credit crunch. I know so many people who have been made redundant from their jobs recently. Many of them are highly experienced professionals in sectors like architecture, finance and media to name only a few. I've been a freelance television editor for the last 15 years and although there are normally high and low periods, this year has been disasterous for me. Virtually no tv work for 7 months! Careers that have been considered stable are now starting to look increasingly shakey. There's also a growing fear amongst those still in work that their futures are uncertain. One thing is for sure, there's no such thing as a job for life any more.
